DONATIONS

  • The Washington County Fair Association is a 501(c)(3) organization - most monetary gifts made are tax deductible. (Always consult your tax professional.)  Projects are always ongoing and the fair board can put your money to good use!
  • Round Barn Memorial Garden:  the memorial garden was created to honor all those wishing to be memorialized on the county fairgrounds.  The garden is a work in progress and is located around our polygonal barn that is on the National Historic Registry.  Small paver bricks are $1000 and large pavers are $3000.  Lettering is done per the donor's wishes.

ENDOWMENTS:

  • Washington County Association Fund - want to support the fair after you are gone?  By contributing to the endowment fund, the fair is able to use interest earned from the fund as working capital.
  • Mike Orris Memorial Scholarship Fund - was started to honor Mike's fifty+ year volunteerism to the fair.  Each year, the scholarship committee awards a $1000 scholarship to a Washington County high school senior who demonstrates their own love for volunteerism.

Contact Millie Youngquist, Executive Director of the Community Foundation of Washington County at 319-653-4673 or cfwashingtoncounty@gmail.com for more information on these endowments.
