Interested in Camping?

The Washington County Fair grounds have 124 grass spots, 108 have full hook-ups (electricity, water & sewer). Gravel driveways lead to level spots that need little to no blocking for quick & easy set up. The camp ground is available for spring, summer and fall but is shutdown for three weeks in July (county fair, set up and tear down). A bathhouse is close by and a small playground is available on the fairgrounds. Plenty of space for the kids to ride bikes, play soccer & run around! Our fairgrounds shares a neighborhood with great restaurants, a meat/cheese market, a grocery store, farm store and gas stations. Camping is $25/night. Just scan the QR Code at your spot and pay right there! Please check with the grounds manager about weekly or monthly rates.

Simple Rules for a Great Stay

Booking & Check In

Campsites must be booked by the guest staying in the site; payment due when booking.
Bookings stay with the person who made them - no transfers or resales.
Refunds available up to 45 days before the event (20% fee).
Site assignments may change as needed - thanks for your flexibility.
Check-In 1PM Check-Out NOON
Leaving early may result in forfeiture of your reservation without a refund.

During Your Stay

Keep your site clean & tidy - everyone appreciates it.
Only deposit trash in the dumpster in the northwest corner of the campgrounds.
No product sales, fires, fireworks in the campground.
Pets are welcome at your site on a leash. Service animals only inside the fairgrounds. Please clean up after them.
Quiet hours 10:00pm-7:00pmr.

Vehicles & Equipment

Park only in your assigned area - it keeps things smooth for everyone.
5 MPH speed limit in the campground
Please bring your own adapter and hose splitters - we don’t have extras..

A Few Final Notes

The Washington County Fair Board, Washington, Iowa, reserves the right to remove anyone from the campgrounds for any reason.

The Washington County Fair Association and The Washington County Fair Board is not responsible for any damages to campers and/or people staying or visiting in the campgrounds. The Fair Board reserves the right to make changes as deemed fit because of, but not limited to, weather conditions.

These standards keep the campground great. If they’re ignored, the stay ends early - no refunds.
